Casa Serena has been part of our family for generations. Growing up here, some of my favorite memories were the holidays when family traveled from across Texas and Mexico to spend time together.
Our home was always filled with laughter, good food, and people enjoying each other's company. From Thanksgiving celebrations and backyard cookouts to afternoons spent swimming in the pool, this house has always been a place where family and friends come together.
Today, my brother Art and I have the privilege of caring for the home and sharing it with others. With the help of my wife, Grace, we've thoughtfully refreshed the space while preserving the warmth and character that have always made it special.
Our hope is simple: that the families and friends who stay at Casa Serena create wonderful memories of their own, just as our family has over the years.

Mike — Co-Owner & Lead Host
Mike grew up in this home and now oversees Casa Serena’s reservations, pricing, guest communication, and hosting strategy. He loves sharing a place that holds so many family memories with visitors to San Antonio.
Grace — Guest Experience & Hospitality
Grace brings warmth to Casa Serena through its décor, welcoming atmosphere, and thoughtful touches that help guests feel at home.
Co-Owner & Property Operations
Art is Mike’s brother and fellow co-owner. He helps support property operations and works to keep Casa Serena well cared for. He also develops relationships with businesses and organizations visiting San Antonio for conventions, conferences, and corporate events.
Lilian — Co-Host & Housekeeping Manager
Originally from Brazil, Lilian has a degree in Business Administration and a background in customer service. She co-founded StarBright Cleaning and Painting Services with her husband, Cleiton, in 2023. At Casa Serena, she co-hosts with Mike and shares responsibility for housekeeping, with a thoughtful eye for welcoming details.
Cleiton — Housekeeping Manager & Property Care
Also from Brazil, Cleiton spent nine years working as a professional painter in Massachusetts before co-founding StarBright with Lilian. Together, they manage Casa Serena’s housekeeping, while Cleiton also helps with property care and maintenance to keep the home looking its best.
